Manish Malhotra: All about the legendary designer's brand and career

Manish Malhotra started his own label which marked a turnover of over ₹ 1 billion in the year 2014. The designer started his career as a fashion model but failed to get any successful gigs for the same. He later moved on to clothing, apparel, and art, and reportedly the designer was always passionate about fashion. The designer got his first break when he designed three costumes for actress Juhi Chawla for David Dhavan’s movie Sawarg. His first noticeable project was Rangeela starring Urmila Matondkar and he managed to bag Filmfare Costume Award for the same. Since then, he has established himself as the leading designer in the Bollywood industry and has worked with leading actors like Juhi Chawla, Karishma Kapoor, Sridevi, Raveena, Madhuri, and Manisha Koirala.

Manish Malhotra's father passed away

The celebrity designer Manish Malhotra’s father passed away in his early 90s. The famous designer father’s health was not in its best state, and he had reportedly been admitted to a hospital for a while. Today, a huge wave of Bollywood celebrities were spotted at Malhotra’s residence to pass on their condolences. Karan Johar, Shabana Azmi, Urmila Matondkar, and Sophie Choudry were spotted at the designer’s house to express their sorrow for the unfortunate demise of his father. Manish was accompanied by his relative and director Punit Malhotra and his family members. Boney Kapoor was also snapped at the same residence to support Manish. The veteran directors  Karan Johar and David Dhavan were also seen at Malhotra's residence in Bandra to pay him their last respects.
