'Manmarziyaan' had a low start at the box office, but managed to up its game on day 2. While the audience is excited to watch Anurag Kashyap's take on romance as the director usually takes up a dark subject, unlike this one. The Taapsee Pannu, Abhishek Bachchan and Vicky Kaushal starrer is his first film that belongs to that romantic-drama genre. But looks like the trade figures do seem to influence the netizens as many loved it and some can't come to terms with the fact that the 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' director is shifting his focus.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who has been keeping tab of the film's performance at the box office said that it did not do well on the day of its release, but also mentioned the real test would be on weekdays. Here's what he posted on his social media handle on Tuesday, September 18, "Manmarziyaan remains on the lower side on Day 4 [Mon]… Fri 3.52 cr, Sat 5.11 cr, Sun 5.70 cr, Mon 2.10 cr. Total: ₹ 16.43 cr. India biz."

Along with the list of people, who loved the film here's someone who was impressed by Vicky Kaushal's performance. It's veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, appreciating Vicky Kaushal's acting Bachchan sent him a hand-written note in which he wrote, "I have always admired your work for your presence and versatility. 'Manmarziyaan' is exceptional."

The 'Piku' actor taking into consideration Vicky Kaushal's limited years of experience in the industry mentioned how he possesses qualities that are beyond compare. He added, "To find such performance qualities in one such as you with limited years in the profession is beyond words." 

Posting a photograph of the note, the 'Sanju' actor wrote, "This means the world to me! Thank You @SrBachchan Sir for this hand written letter of appreciation and bouquet #Manmarziyaan".
