Mardaani 2: All about Gopi Puthran the director of the movie

Rani Mukerji starrer Mardaani 2 is going to release soon. The movie is an action-thriller where a woman fights the crimes committed on other women by society. The previous edition of the film was based on child trafficking. This action movie series is written and directed by Gopi Puthran who is making his directoral debut in Bollywood with this action film.

Gopi Puthran's journey in Bollywood

Gopi Puthran started his career as a writer in Bollywood film industry with Lafangey Parindey starring Neel Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone. The Bollywood drama was directed by Pradeep Sarkar. The story revolves around a girl losing eye-sight after meeting with an accident with the lead played by Neil Nitin Mukesh and later the lead helps her fulfil her dreams. The movie did not do well in the box-office, though fans loved the acting of the stars and the storyline written by Gopi Puthran.

The writer and director has also written the story of the daredevil cop's story in Mardaani. Gopi Puthran was also part of the movie as an assistant director. Mardaani was directed by Pradeep Sarkar who is now replaced by Gopi for the sequel of the movie.

Mardaani 2 is going to be released on December 13, 2019. The daredevil cop is going to return with more action and drama. Rani Mukerji's fans are anticipating this sequel after the teaser was launched. Rani will return to the silver screen after a long break. This Yash Raj production's movie has created a lot of buzz and is one of the most awaited movies of December 2019.
