June 14 marked one of the few days where two films, 'Game Over' and 'Men In Black: International' released in the theatres together. According to reports, the films were expected to face hard luck considering 'Bharat' released just a week before, and also because the big World Cup clash between India and Pakistan was also this weekend.
Collecting Rs. 3 crore on opening Friday, to minting 3.50 crore on Saturday, followed by Rs. 2.75 crores on Sunday, 'Men In Black: International' is set to cross Rs. 10 crore mark. Meanwhile, Taapsee Pannu starrer 'Game Over' experienced a slow start and minted Rs. 75 lakhs approx. However, it took a good kick on saturday with Rs. 1.75 crore. Although, on Sunday, the thriller saw the least drip by collecting Rs. 1.50 crore.
'Game Over' released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. While the film is helmed by Ashwin Saravanan, S. Sashikanth is the producer. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, along with Reliance Entertainment and Y Not studios, presented the Hindi version of the film. The 'Pink' actor will also be seen in 'Saand Ki Aankh' opposite Bhumi Pednekar, apart from multi-starrer 'Mission Mangal.'
Meanwhile, 'Men In Black: International' is directed by F. Gary Gray, and stars Rebecca Ferguson and Kumail Nanjiani. Based on the comic book series, the filmfranchise kicked off in 1997. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones starred in the original MIB film trilogy as agent J and K, who spend their days protecting the earth from alien threats.
