After unveiling the emoji of the much-anticipated venture 'Mission Mangal', Akshay Kumar on Thursday, July 18, unveiled the trailer of the upcoming venture. The film which is based on the real-life story of the Indian Space Research Organisation's Mars Orbiter Mission showcases how India, despite having its own challenges successfully managed to launch its spacecraft in Mars' orbit.

India's first interplanetary mission has been portrayed quite skillfully in the upcoming venture. It features Akshay as an ISRO scientist who is working on the Mars Orbiter Mission, along with Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sharman Joshi, and others. Although the mission seems too hard to accomplish in the first place, Akshay and team set out to challenge the impossible and eventually overcomes all the hurdles in the way, becoming the first country to successfully complete a  Mars mission in the first go.

The trailer looks like an absolute package with its zeal of patriotism, nail-biting excitement, and an adequate amount of humor. With the Mars mission, the film showcases how the characters in the film, who handle responsibilities in the space station as well at home and in their personal lives, set out on a journey from being ordinary to extraordinary.

It’s after a long time that Sharman Joshi is seen in mainstream film, and he’s once again the religious kind ala Raju in ‘3 Idiots.’ Veteran actor HG Dattatreya complete the impressive cast of the film.

The sequences of the space station, the launch of the satellite and the launch all look convincing and it’d be interesting to see how it will come out on the big screen.

‘Mars Orbiter Mission’, also known as the Mangalyaan mission in 2014 had made India only the fourth country in the world and the first Asian to reach Mars.

The movie introduces this as ‘an incredible true story’ and it’d be interesting if it scripts an interesting feat at the box office. However, the Jagan Shakti directorial faces a stiff challenge at the box office, since Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Saaho’ and John Abraham’s ‘Batla House,’ are also releasing on Independence Day, August 15.
