Did anyone say a clash? Because Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are clearly breaking all the rules and not letting the box-office clash affect their friendship.

2018 is repeating for Bollywood industry as Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal is all set to clash with John Abraham's Batla House, both whose trailers and patriotic story lines suggest solid content that could impress the masses on Independence Day. But the 'Desi Boyz' were spotted promoting their upcoming films together in Mumbai, on Friday. At the trailer launch of Batla House, when asked about the clash, John commented by saying, "Make some noise for the Desi Boys!" He then went on to say, "There is enough space. Audience gets to choose from two good films. Ek toh main keh sakta hoon ki humari film bohot achchi hai. At least one choice the audience has ki ek toh achchi hai. I hope the other two films are also good. That's all I can hope for. But August 15 is a great day."

"Honestly, if there was a controversy, I would have loved to create it, but Akshay and I are very dear friends, we really get along. In fact, just the other day we texted each other. There is absolutely nothing there. We are just releasing two films on the same day," said John Abraham in one of the interactions with media.

ABOUT THE FILM: 

'Mission Mangal' is directed by Jagan Shakti and presented by Fox Star Studios.Produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, and Fox Star Studios, the film is scheduled to land in theatres on August 15, 2019. This film is based on the scientists of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). The trailer of the movie has generated a lot of traction on social media. Other than Akshay Kumar, there are five more leading female actresses are in the film.

‘Batla House’ is based on the controversial circumstances of the encounter in Batla House, Delhi on September 19, 2008 where two alleged terrorists were killed, two arrested and one escaped. This was in the aftermath of the blasts that reportedly killed 30 persons a few days before that.
