At a time when Karni Sena is resorting to violence across the nation, good Samaritans of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh are giving roses to the theatre owners and requesting them for the screening of 'Padmaavat'. They said that they are against the violence being perpetuated by the Karni Sena, saying they should first watch the movie before protesting it.
"We are supporting the movie. People should first watch and then decide. We request the Karni Sena to first see the movie and then protest against it," said one of the members.
Meanwhile, members of the Karni Sena group in Lucknow presented roses to people while requesting them to boycott the movie. The protestors at Novelty cinema in Lucknow, also offered to reimburse the amount of the ticket in case people have already bought it.
"We will also compensate money of the tickets in case people have already bought," said a member of Karni Sena.
Various fringe groups including Karni Sena has gone on a rampage and vandalized various cinema halls screening the movie. In Haryana, stooping to a new low, protesters pelted stones and torched a bus at Gurugram's Sohna Road. The rioters didn't even spare school children, as a school bus was attacked. No one was hurt in the incident.
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus, which released on Thursday, has been embroiled into controversy since its inception.
