Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor's 'Kabir Singh' has been buzzing with controversies. Although the film is doing amazingly well at the box office and raking high in numbers, it is also making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Given the fact that the film shows an alcoholic doctor, who performs half his surgeries under the influence and is later caught for medical negligence, the internet is buzzing with some mixed reviews.

And now, a Mumbai based doctor has written to the Union Health Minister and the Censor Board, requesting a stay on the film as it tarnishes the image of medical professionals, and brings all of them under a bad light. According to him, 'Kabir Singh' has distorted the image of a professional without any grounds of reality. 

The film which is a Hindi remake of Tamil film 'Arjun Reddy' is helmed by the same director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It narrates the story of an alcoholic surgeon named Kabir Singh, who has anger management issues. He goes on a self-destructive path after being separated from his ex-lover. Although critics have been raving about the film, netizens have mixed reactions about the remake.
