Ruhi Singh clarifies her stand after media houses confuses her with Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh who was booked in a road accident. Here's what she said -

'Calendar Girls' actress Ruhi Singh took to her Instagram account to lash out against the media houses who confused her with the TV actor Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh, who was involved in a road accident.

Ruhi Shaileshkumar Singh, 30, was booked by Mumbai Police under IPC section 279 (rash driving) and under the Motor Vehicle Act for drunk driving on Monday.

She wrote: "This is to clarify, that media reports of ‘ruhi singh’ which have been published today are in no way related to me. The lady in concern possibly shares her name with me. It is amply clear from the screen shot posted above, that it is someone else. 
Highly irresponsible journalism by mainstream media houses, using my picture and falsely implicating me in an event I was certainly not a part of. This has caused irreparable damage to my reputation.
Would request all media outlets to please verify facts before writing articles. @zeenews @indiatvnews @spotboye #newsnation @abpnewstv" [sic]

Not just this, the actress further put Instagram stories to stress on the same matter. Here's the post -

For those unaware, Ruhi Singh entered the modelling industry in 2011 and participated in Femina Miss India East 2011, where she was crowned 1st Runner up. The same year she entered Indian Princess 2011 and was chosen to represent India at Miss Model Of The World 2011 contest held in China. She was in the top 36 quarter finalists. In 2012 she participated in Femina Miss India and was placed in the top 10. She also represented India at Miss United Nations in 2012 held at Miami. And in 2014, she was chosen by Femina Miss India to represent India at the first edition of Miss Universal Peace and Humanity where she was declared the winner. 

Ruhi has also worked in a documentary, 'The World Before Her'.
