Nana Patekar Addresses Media For Less Than A Minute On Allegations By Tanushree Dutta

On October 8, Nana Patekar held a press conference to address Tanushree Dutta's allegations against him. Nana attended the media for less than a minute saying that he has been asked by his lawyer to not speak to the media.

Nana Patekar, who has been making headlines ever since the news of the incident that took place on the sets 'Horn Ok Pleassss'back in 2008 resurfaced, he took a press conference in Mumbai. The conference which was previously canceled by Nana's son Malhar a night before October 8, took place outside the actor's resident where his son was seen making the arrangements. Prior to the conference, Nana requested the media to put his point across first and then let the stage open for questions. The actor was accompanied by his son to the podium where he seemed agitated with the entire process.

Nana Patekar addressed the press conference for hardly a minute and said, "My lawyer has asked me not to speak to the media, that's why I haven't spoke to you, or else I never have a problem talking to the media. On continuously being asked about his comments on Tanushree Dutta's allegations against him, the veteran actor said, "I have told this 10 years back also, what was true 10 years back will be true 10 years later also."

Former actress Tanushree Dutta has filed a police complaint against Nana Patekar at Oshiwara for sexual harassment on the sets of her 2008 film 'Horn Ok Pleassss' while the duo was filming for a song sequence. Meanwhile Republic TV exclusively got in touch with Tanushree Dutta's lawyer where he shared that if the FIR gets registered against Nana Patekar and others accused, he might get imprisonment upto 10 years. Speaking about the legal proceedings, Tanushree's team is planning to take, he further shared, "Tanushree feels that every woman should have a safe environment in their workplace. So, she is moving to the High Court for the implementation of Vishakha case judgment passed by the Supreme Court. She wants this to be implemented in every professional platform. Like Vishakha committee, Tanushree committee should be formed in the Cine Artistes' Association to readdress the issue of sexual harassment issues at the workplace."
