Iqbal

Here, Shah was seen playing the role of a retired cricket player whose best partner becomes an alcoholic after his career ends. He comes across a young dumb and deaf boy named Iqbal. The story takes a twist when Naseeruddin agrees to train the young talented boy. He practices day and night, which allows him to take control of his alcohol problem.

A Wednesday

This can be considered as Naseeruddin’s most impactful film where he is seen playing the role of a common man who wishes to make a change in his ways. The film was a huge success and is still considered as one of Bollywood’s golden films. His dialogue, “I am just a stupid common man wanting to clean his house,” went viral and had many memes made on it.

7 Khoon Maaf 

Here, Naseeruddin Shah is seen playing the role of a character who was bound to be hated by the audience. Naseeruddin Shah is seen playing the role of a poet and who is secretly a terrorist. He builds a character with some involuntary mystery, charm, and malice, which came out to be a commendable performance. He managed to play a character that does not deserve sympathy but gets it no matter what because Shah creates a character who has some defined motivations. The film ‘s leading actor was Aamir Khan, but Naseer certainly gave an applaudable villain performance.

The Coffin Maker
