Netflix Names Joker As The Best Movie Villain Of All Time; Here’s How Indians Reacted To It

Who is the greatest movie villain of all time across languages? Netflix thinks it is the Joker played by late Heath Ledger in the ‘The Dark Knight’, but netizens are not convinced. From hilarious reactions to many of Indian film industry’s menacing characters,  several iconic names featured in the comments section.

The streaming giant gave a fitting tribute to Joker by sharing his best scenes on Twitter on Wednesday. Moreover, they also got the netizens involved by daring them to name anyone better than him. 

Surprisingly many disagreed, and there were many other ruthless characters that were named. Thanos from ‘Avengers’ and Darth Vader from ‘Star Wars’ were some of the obvious mentions. 

Many of them went creative with some funny responses right from United States of America President Donald Trump to their ex.

Netflix was sporting enough to reply to those who named Loki from ‘Thor’ and ‘The Lion King’s Scar.   

 

What’s interesting is Indians were convinced that they had the best villains, and numerous netizens named late Amrish Puri’s Mogambo from ‘Mr India’ and also of his character Dong from 'Tahalka', Amjad Khan’s Gabbar Singh from ‘Sholay’ and even Shakti Kapoor’s Crime Master Gogo from ‘Andaz Apna Apna’.

Some shared a clip from Tamil superstar Ajith's negative character Vinayak Mahadev, one posted a snap of director AR Murugadoss, Christopher from recent Tamil movie ‘Ratsasan' and Odia actor Hara Pattanik were the other mentions.
