After the controversy over Hardik Pandya’s misogynist comments on 'Koffee With Karan', and then the Indian cricketer apologizing publicly on social media, netizens are now demanding that the host of the show, ace-filmmaker Karan Johar too be held responsible, as he could have easily edited the controversial parts out.
With just Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul being on the receiving end of the backlash, the internet is equally angry at Karan Johar for changing the format of the show by inviting Indian cricketers to his Bollywood dominated show and then putting them in the spot by asking some uncomfortable questions.
Hardik, who appeared on the show with KL Rahul, was accused of making sexist, misogynist comments and objectifying women on the show. He had opened up on his flings, sex life and relationships.
When Karan asked him why he never asked women’s names in a nightclub, he had replied, “I like to watch and observe how they (women) move. I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move.” Though Rahul didn’t directly make any evidently offensive comment, he was accused of playing along.
The comments made by him on national television did not go well with many and have thus landed him in the hot waters. Due to his actions, the Indian cricketer also apologised on social media.
