Many Twitter users took to the micro-blogging site to express their anger over the matter. Read their reactions below-
One of the most successful and acclaimed directors of the country, Hirani has been among the biggest names to be accused of sexual harassment. A woman, who was working as his assistant, has accused him of sexual harassment over the course of many months while they were working together on ‘Sanju.’
The woman approached Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who has produced all of Hirani’s blockbusters like the ‘Munnabhai’ franchise, ‘3 Idiots’, ‘PK’ and ‘Sanju.’ Following her complaint, Hirani was dropped from ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’, which he was jointly producing with Chopra.
Hirani has denied the allegations and had released the statement, "I was completely shocked when these allegations were brought to my notice about two months back. I had suggested immediately that it is essential to take this matter to any committee or any legal body. The complainant has chosen to go to the media instead. I want to very strongly state that this is a false, malicious and mischievous story being spread with the sole intention of destroying my reputation.”
