Nithya Menen is an actor and playback singer in the industry. She has worked in several films in different languages. Her primary work is the South Indian film industry, where she has become a known lead actor. Nithya was born to Malayali parents settled in Banashankari, Bengaluru. Less is known about her family. Nithya played a character with two shades. She received her first Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress.

Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju

The story shows Raja Ram who wins a national trophy, but loses his mother and love of his life Nazira, as she moves to Malaysia. However, she comes back after several years and they get to meet again. The movie stars Sharvanand and Nithya Menen as Raja and Nazira respectively. Reportedly, she become the first actor to win Best Actress Telugu and Best Actress Telugu Critics, both together at the 63rd Filmfare Awards South.

Mersal

OK Kanmani

Nithya Menen was recently seen in multi-starrer Hindi film Mission Mangal. She played the role of Varsha Pillai, a scientist. The movie is said to be based on the true story of India’s mission to Mass. Beside her, the star cast includes Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu, Kirthi Kulhari, Sharman Joshi and H.G Dattatreya. It received appreciations from the audiences and critics. The movie was super hit at the box office.
