Director Sandeep Vanga who made his directorial debut with the remake of 'Arjun Reddy' became an overnight sensation after the release of the teaser. The film has become the talk of the town and with the release, less than a month away, the makers and stars are leaving no stone unturned in promoting the film.
Recently, in an interview to a leading daily, Director Vanga was asked if the producers had approached Arjun Kapoor for the role first, to which he agreed and said that there were 'talks', but he was not ready to 'jump' to another actor as from the beginning Shahid Kapoor was kept in the loop.
He then went on to speak about the leading actress, Kiara Advani and stated that she is 'extremely professional', and understood her role quite well.
The film is a Hindi remake of Telugu film 'Arjun Reddy' and is helmed by the same director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
It narrates the story of an alcoholic surgeon named Kabir Singh, who has anger management issues. He goes on a self-destructive path after his ex-lover gets married to someone else. The film is written and directed by Sandeep Vanga and is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani, Krishan Kumar and Ashwin Varde. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 21, 2019
