Salman Khan has always backed new talent, and the actor-producer is now ready with a third love story in four years featuring newcomers. After Athiya Shetty-Sooraj Pancholi in ‘Hero’, Aayush Sharma-Warina Hussain in ‘LoveYatri’, the latest to get the ‘Bhai’ blessings are Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan Bahl. The trailer of the debutants ‘Notebook’ has been unveiled, and it’d be interesting to see if the movie’s fate would be different from the other two aforementioned ventures.
As one can see the trailer, the story is set in Kashmir where Pranutan is seen as a teacher of little ones, who adore her. Things take a turn when she is forced to leave the kids for her marriage and is replaced by Zaheer, who is an Armyman. The rest of the story traces how the two fall in love, without seeing each other, as they exchange notes through the ‘Notebook.’

The film looks fresh and the newcomers seem confident in the initial glimpses. Pranutan is granddaughter of yesteryear actress Nutan and daughter of Mohnish Bahl. Zaheer is a family friend of Salman, who he knows since childhood.
The light-hearted moments involving the kids, the hurdles in their union, recreation of ‘Mission Kashmir’s popular song ‘Bumro’ and the breatthtaking visuals of Kashmir, would be interesting to watch on the big screen.
‘Notebook’ is helmed by Nitin Kakkar, who is known for the critically acclaimed movie ‘Filmistan.’ The movie, also produced by Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde, is written by Shabbir Hashmi and Payal Ashar, and hits the theatres on March 29.
