#MeToo: Actress Who Accused Luv Rajan Of Sexual Misconduct Writes An Open Letter

In the wake of the #MeToo movement, several popular names have come in the forefront, who have been accused of sexual harassment. Recently, the actress who had accused director Luv Rajan of sexual misconduct wrote an open letter to the people who were trying to discredit her account.

In the wake of the #MeToo movement, several popular names have come in the forefront, who have been accused of sexual harassment. Famous celebrities including Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Subhash Ghai, Varun Grover, Luv Ranjan and now Sajid Khan are some of the few names that have been shamed for sexual harassment. Recently, the actress who accused Luv Rajan of sexual misconduct around six days back has now written an open letter to the people who have tried to discredit her record. 

In an elaborate Twitter post, the anonymous actress states ''Just because he was nice to you and did not put you through the traumatic experience that I went through, does not make my story false. You are free to portray him in a positive light because that is your experience with him, but it is extremely low of you all to call me a liar. This is precisely why men have got away with such acts and women have remained quiet all these years. Shame on you for questioning my motives'' read an excerpt from her statement.

Bollywood director Luv Ranjan, who is known for films like 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' and 'Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety'. In an interview with a leading publication, an actress opened up about the sexual harassment she faced by the director. Narrating her ordeal she reportedly said in the year 2010, when she was 24, she had already done two small roles in big movies opposite well-known actors and was in the auditioning phase.

She said that she was called by Vicky Sidana, a casting director, who informed her that the auditions for 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' were on, and a very short list of girls had been called for them. The actress said that she trusted him and hence, went for it. The dress code was a short skirt and a tight top, which was fairly common, she said and was not a problem with her. Recalling the audition day, she said that there were seven to eight girls there, and the strange part was that they didn’t give them dialogues as the usual procedure involves enacting of scenes.
