Vinta Nanda recently accused veteran actor Alok Nath of alleged rape and brutality. Actress Sandhya Mridul opened up on the incident wherein Alok Nath lunged at her. The 'Saathiya' actress claimed that an inebriated Alok Nath allegedly lunged at her.

Tanushree Dutta coming out about an incident that took place on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleasss' has kicked off India's very own 'Me Too' movement. With several women come forward and speak about any such incidents that they may have faced, several eminent personalities including Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor and Kailash Kher have been accused of misbehaviour towards women. Recently, producer of a popular 90s show, Vinta Nanda opened up about when the lead actress of the show was misbehaved with by veteran actor Alok Nath.

In an elaborate Facebook post, she narrated the details of the horrific incident that took place back in the 90s. Vinta accused veteran actor Alok Nath of alleged rape and brutality. After the accusation of an alleged rape on Alok Nath, CINTAA has decided to send a show and cause notice to the 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' actor.

Sandhya Mridul recently opened up on an incident that took place years back wherein she was shooting for a television series in which, veteran actor Alok Nath played the role of her father, while late actress Reema Lagoo played the role of her mother. Describing the incident in her post on social media Sandhya Mridul said that the cast of the television series went out for dinner during an outdoor shoot after an early pack up where Alok Nath got drunk and, insisted the actress sat with him saying that she belonged to him and other things that the actress does not clearly remember. The actress claims to have felt nervous and uncomfortable until one of her co-stars realised what was happening and got her out of there. 

The 'Saathiya' actress claimed that an inebriated Alok Nath also knocked on the door of her hotel room. Mridul instinctively tried to shut the door but the veteran actor pushed the door and lunged at her as she stepped aside and while Alok Nath went flying past her into the room. Nath then did the same again, but this time ran right inside the bathroom where Sandhya locked him and ran out of her room.

Sandhya Mridul, in a statement that she posted on Facebook on Wednesday, October 10, also showed support for Vinta Nanda who recently accused veteran actor Alok Nath of an alleged rape and brutality. In her statement, the 'Page 3' actress said, "At the very start of my career I was shooting a telefilm for zee in Kodaikanal. I was the lead. And very excited. Alok Nath was my on-screen father and Reema Lagoo my mother. Alok Nath was very impressed with me and called me "God's own child" and openly praised me every day. I was over the moon. I was a huge fan of this wonderful Babuji... I felt so fortunate happy and confident."

Further describing the horrific incident Sandhya said, "The cast went out for dinner. At dinner, he got progressively drunk and started insisting I sit with him and that I belonged to him and other stuff that I don't clearly remember but it made me very nervous and uncomfortable. My co-star realised what was happening and got me out of there."
