In the wake of the #MeToo movement, several popular names have come in the forefront, who have been accused of sexual harassment. Famous celebrities including Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Subhash Ghai, Varun Grover, Luv Ranjan and now Sajid Khan are some of the few names that have been shamed for sexual harassment. A journalist on Thursday accused the 'Housefull' director of misbehaving with her during an interview.
Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu who has worked with Sajid Khan in his 2014 film 'Humshakal' said that, "It was his general attitude towards women that would disturb me." She further said that ,though she never faced harassment at the hands of the director, she always found his behaviour towards women rude.
Sajid Khan was accused by a journalist who said that the director had shown his private parts to her, leaving her ashamed and in tears.
In addition to a Bollywood journalist, actress Saloni Chopra too narrated a heart-wrenching encounter she had with Sajid.
Model and actress Rachel White responded to Saloni Chopra's tweet sharing her 'Me Too' moment with the director. The 'Ungli' actress wrote,
Responding to the allegations made on him, the 'Housefull' director said, "In the wake of the allegations against me & the pressure being put on my family, my producer n the stars of my film Houseful4, i must take the moral responsibility of stepping down from my directorial post, till the time i can allay the allegations and prove the truth.. I request my friends in the media to kindly not pass judgement till the truth is out”. Meanwhile, the director has stepped down as the director of his upcoming film 'Housefull 4'.
