#MeToo| Kangana Ranaut Says 'There Are Married Men Who Keep Their Wives As Trophies And Keep Young Girls As Mistresses Like Hrithik'

In the last couple of days, the Hindi film industry has witnessed a lot, ever since Tanushree Dutta revealed about her past and accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of alleged misconduct on the sets of the 2008 film 'Horn OK Pleassss', she has instigated a lot of wronged women to speak up and share their stories. After Hollywood, Bollywood is experiencing the Me Too movement and slowly women that have experienced any kind of harassment are speaking up. After the Tanushree Dutta - Nana Patekar row, Bollywood personalities like Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, and Rajat Kapoor have been accused of Sexual harassment and misconduct.

While speaking about the #MeToo movement to a publication, actress Kangana Ranaut stated that the consequences, director Vikas Bahl had to face after a woman accused him of sexual harassment are absolutely apt and that the citizens of the country have to make the world a safe place for women. Adding on to her thoughts, she claimed that there are many men who make false promises of love and marriage to a girl to get them in a relationship, which is also a type of harassment. Further, taking a dig at her rumoured ex-boyfriend Hrithik Roshan, she stated that there are many men who keep their wives as trophies and keep young girls as mistresses like Hrithik and that no one should work with such people, and just boycott them.

Inspired from the west, the #MeToo campaign in India has sure gained heat with several women gathering the courage to point out sexual predators. In addition to Nana Patekar, Vivek Agnihotri, Chetan Bhagat, Alok Nath, Vikas Bahl, Rajat Kapoor, Kailash Kher, Zulfi Syed, Utsav Chakrabarty, and Gursimran Khamba have been accused of sexual misconduct. Renowned writer Chetan Bhagat has been accused of sexual misconduct by an anonymous victim after she shared screenshots of her chat with the author. While Alok Nath has been accused of rape by popular 90's show 'Tara' producer Vinta Nanda. In a detailed post on Facebook, she also mentioned that Alok Nath was an alcoholic, and accused him of allegedly being inappropriate with the lead actress of the show, Navneet Nishan.

Several Bollywood A-listers have spoken out in support of all those victims of sexual misconduct. From Priyanka Chopra, Varun Dhawan, Anushka Sharma, Twinkle Khanna, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Sophie Chaudhary, to Farhan Akhtar, and others are supporting all those raising their voice against this practice.
