India's Me Too movement has gained a lot of momentum in the last few weeks, a lot of prominent names have come up with the ongoing movement. Personalities like Vikas Bahl, Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Sajid Khan, and Karim Morani among others have been accused of alleged sexual harassment.

In a shocking revelation a few days back, filmmaker Nishtha Jain accused veteran journalist Vinod Dua of alleged sexual harassment in 1989. She accused him of abusing his power and stalking her while she was a fresher in the industry. Vinod Dua is a celebrated journalist and also the father to comedian Mallika Dua.

Mallika Dua recently shared a picture with her father Vinod Dua on Instagram and came out in support of him as she wrote, "Heroes aren’t made or broken overnight. #Papaji''

Earlier when the news of the accusations against the veteran had come out, Mallika's response to it was much awaited. She had taken to Twitter to release an elaborate statement addressing Nishtha Jain and all the others that dragged her name into the controversy and wrote,

"If at all my father is truly guilty of what you described, it is unacceptable, traumatic and painful. I am in solidarity with the movement and in support of the voices but you dragging my name into this was in terrible taste. To opportunist bhakts and RW trolls, and those making this about me, F**k off. I'm still going to stand up against bigotry, misogyny, stand up for survivors, and for whatever the hell I believe in. Nothing gets to kill my vibe and I am not sorry. To everyone else, This is not my battle to fight. It is not MY responsibility or MY shame or MY burden. I will deal with this my way and on my time. Stop forcing women to give statements for your entertainment. I stand with the movement and will not let its objectives, ideals, and purpose be hijacked by the shamers. This is my dad's battle, I will let him fight it and I will stand by him."

Vinod Dua still, however, hasn't responded to the allegations made against him.
