The infamous Nana Patekar - Tanushree Dutta controversy ignited India's Me Too movement. The actress had gone on record and had accused him of sexual misconduct. While Tanushree spoke about it in the media, Nana Patekar stayed quiet about the matter all these days. Tanushree had recently filed a complaint at CINTAA, which later sent a notice to Nana Patekar.

Finally, Nana Patekar has responded to the complaint filed by actor Tanushree Dutta with the Cine and Television Artistes’ Association (CINTAA), calling her claims 'motivated' and 'malicious'.

In her complaint to CINTAA, Tanushree Dutta had accused Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of the 2008 film 'Horn OK Pleassss' while filming for a song sequence and the association had asked Nana to respond to the allegations.

Nana, in his detailed response to the notice from CINTAA, said that the allegations levelled against him are baseless and false. He also stated that he is in the process of adopting legal measures against Tanushree.

Nana Patekar's lawyer Aniket Nikam, sent his reply earlier this week after CINTAA issued a notice to him upon a complaint filed by Dutta which said, ''My client (Patekar) denies in toto (completely) the baseless and unsubstantiated allegations, insinuation levelled by Dutta. The false allegations have immensely affected his reputation beyond repair and your organisation (CINTAA) should not entertain such groundless accusations particularly when such allegations are levelled after almost a decade"

The reply also stated that Nana Patekar has been subjected to mental harassment due to the "motivated and malicious" vilification campaign and that he is a senior actor who has not only won several national awards but is also known for his philanthropic work.
