As soon as the news came up, Nandita Das' reaction was awaited and finally the filmmaker took to social media to comment on the same. She also mentioned that her support for the movement won't stop despite allegations against her father.

She wrote, ''As a strong supporter of the #MeToo movement, I want to reiterate that I will continue to add my voice to it, despite the disturbing allegations made against my father, which he has categorically denied. I have maintained from the very start that this is the time we all need to listen, so that women (and men) feel safe to speak up. At the same time, it is also important to be sure about allegations so as not to dilute the movement.
I am touched by the number of people - friends and strangers - who are concerned and are trusting my integrity. I do believe truth will prevail. And that is all I have to say on this matter."

Nisha Bora who accused Jatin Das shared an elaborate post on social media about the incident. Here's an excerpt.

"I met Jatin Das in the summer of 2004 at a dinner at the India International Centre, Delhi. I was 28 years old, and had been married for a little under a year. Jatin chatted with me for a bit, and asked me to assist him for a few days to organize his work material. I was delighted to say yes," reads her post on social media. I visited Jatin in his studio on the second day. He poured himself some whiskey: offered me one too, but I refused. The next thing I knew, he attempted to grab me. I wriggled out of his embrace, flustered. Then he did it again. This time, he managed a clumsy kiss on my lips. I recall the feeling of his beard on my skin. I pushed him away, and moved away from him. I picked up my bag, stepped out into the sun, and ran home. Never to speak about it. Until now," Nisha Bora revealed in her post.
