As the 'Me Too' movement gains momentum in India, several women have mustered the courage to come out and point out the sexual predators. Several eminent personalities from the Indian film industry have been named including Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Varun Grover, Karim Morani, Sajid Khan and Vikas Bahl to name a few. The most recent name to have been dragged into the campaign is that of actor Piyush Mishra.
On Thursday, October 11, Bollywood actor Piyush Mishra was accused by Ketki Joshi, a journalist, of inappropriate behaviour during a party. However, in a statement to PTI, Mishra extended his apologies for making the "lady uncomfortable". Joshi took to Facebook to talk about the incident that took place in 2014. In her post, Ketki mentioned Mishra was the main guest for a private party that was organised by Joshi's friends in 2014. Ketki also mentioned that Piyush Mishra started light flirting with her in front of approximately 20-25 people, sang a song and looked right into her face.
In the post that Joshi put up on Facebook, recalling the incident she said, "I took it has a harmless flirting. He was drinking all through the party and was too drunk by the time of wrap up. Everyone was leaving. I came with a close friend, so I was supposed to go back home with him. I was waiting for my friend to get free so we can head home. He was sitting on a chair and as soon as I passed near him, he grabbed my hand and started rubbing his hands against me. I pleaded to the host with my eyes to do something."

In his response to the allegations put on him by Ketki Joshi, Piyush Mishra told PTI, "I do not remember the stated incident as I was probably a few drinks down. But nevertheless, I would like to extend my apology for making the lady uncomfortable either with my words or actions."
Piyush Mishra has been known for the portrayal of his roles in films like, 'Pink', 'Gangs Of Wasseypur', 'Rockstar', 'The Shaukeens', 'Happy Bhag Jayegi', 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' and 'Sanju' to name a few. Mishra who is also a lyricist has written some songs for the 'Gangs Of Wasseypur' series. He has lent his voice for several songs and has written dialogues for several films including Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Agneepath' which released in 2012.
