#MeToo | Police Refuse To File Actor Kritika Sharma's Sexual Assault FIR Against Casting Director Vicky Sidana

Actress Kritika Sharma had accused 'Baby' casting director Vicky Sidana of sexual harassment a few days ago and since then a few more women have come forward and have accused the director of sexual assault. Reportedly, the actress went to file a complaint at the Versova police station, but the police refused to file an FIR stating that the incident is 5-years-old and hence, they need to investigate the matter before filing the complaint.

Narrating her ordeal at the police station, she was apparently asked to pick the FIR later in the evening post the written statement was recorded. However, when she went to the station later, officer Ravindra Badgujar told her that they haven’t filed the FIR as yet because they want to investigate further. She then said that later, when she went to the police station with her husband in the morning, the response was rather cold. She was also harassed at the police station during the cross-questioning which brought her to tears.

Besides Kritika, two more women have accused Vicky of sexual harassment. Another aspiring actress opened up about the horrific incident with Vicky Sadana where the casting agent groped her sister she recounted that Vicky was espousing wisdom on how she won’t get offers if she doesn’t offer sex when she stepped out for a photo shoot Vicky got chatting with her sister and pushed on the couch and squeezed her breast while asking her why she didn't want to be an actress. When the actress heard about what he did to her sister she never saw his face again.

Another survivor recounted her story and said Vicky had invited her to his house to discuss a project and sexually harassed her. She said that the role in question needed her to have a pixie cut. He pulled her hair away from her face to see how she would look in short hair then he grabbed her from the side and tried to hug her. The victim said that she could feel his genitals pressed against her thigh and she somehow managed to run.
