Writer producer Vinta Nanda reached Oshiwara police station to file a complaint against actor Alok Nath

Writer producer Vinta Nanda who had recently accused actor Alok Nath of sexual harassment has reached the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai to file a complaint against the actor. A few days earlier the writer, in an elaborate Facebook post narrated how she was sexually harassed and raped by actor Alok Nath, with whom she was working in the 90s popular television show 'Tara'. She claimed in her post that Alok Nath was an alcoholic and would misbehave with the lead actress of the show. And when she kicked him out of the show, she claimed that he used his power to cancel all her upcoming productions. 

Veteran actor Alok Nath on October 15 filed a Civil Defamation Suit against Producer Vinta Nanda seeking a public apology and  ₹1. Speaking to the media, Alok Nath's lawyer Ashok Saraogi said, "Vinta Nanda is not making any demand. We have filed a criminal case before the city civil court and Alok Nath has asked ₹ 1, which has been asked just for the sake of penalty."

The lawyer further stated that Vinta Nanda should apologise before the society, for defaming his client. The case will be heard in the month of November, while the civil suit will be followed up within a week. 

 Vinta Nanda has written a hard hitting letter to PM Narendra Modi seeking help and justice for all the wronged women. 

Meanwhile, Vinta Nanda is awaiting decisions of various association like Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA), Screenwriters Association (SWA) and Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA).

Alok Nath is yet to respond to Cine And TV Artistes' Association popularly known as CINTAA's show and cause notice. Further, Nath has also asked the associations to furnish the details of the complaint, as reported. The matter has not been reported to the police or the court and so the actor's legal team has requested the association to withdraw their show cause notice. Earlier, Alok Nath and his wife Ashu have also filed a defamation case against writer-producer Vinta Nanda for alleging that Nath sexually harassed and raped her 19 years back.
