The #MeToo has become widespread in India, especially in film industry. Several popular directors, actors and producers have until now been accused of sexual misconduct. It all began with former Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta accusing actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of the 2008 film 'Horn Ok Pleasss'. On the said day, the duo were shooting for a song sequence from the film. Tanushree Dutta had claimed that Nana Patekar as not supposed to be a part pf the song, but had convinced the makers tpo make him a part. She alleged that she was being forced to do intimidate steps with the actor, by choreographer Ganesh Acharya.
The accusations leveled by the actress sure inspired many other women to speak up and shame sexual perpetrators. The campaign revealed alleged perpetrators in Bollywood, including director Vikas Bahl, actor Alok Nath and producer Gaurang Doshi among others. Several celebrities have until now spoken about this matter and taken a stand on the same.
Talking about the accusations made by several women in the industry, Bollywood actor Chunky Panday, said while in Kanpur, that allegations have always been levelled but now the issue has become more bigger and serious. He fees that the court should take a decision now. He said that it is a very sensitive issue and such things should be solved legally.
However, the 'Housefull' actor feels that a decision should not be made , without listening to stories from both sides. When asked whether these constant accusations, will lead to people believing that the entire industry is bad, he said that it is a disputed point, and the entire industry can never be bad. In conclusion he said that whatever has happened has happened and it upto a good authority to make the right decision.
On the work front, actor Chunky Panday is shooting for 'Housefull 4' and will besoon bringing to life his lovable charactre 'Aakhri Pasta' . He was recently shooting in Jaisalmer for the Sajid Khan film along with Nana Patekar and the rest of the crew. The actor will also be seen in 'Baahubali' star Prabhas' next 'Saaho', in which Shraddha Kapoor will be playing the female lead. The actor is also shooting for Sanjay Dutt's home production film 'Prasthanam' in Lucknow.
