'One vote can make all the difference': Anil Kapoor answers PM Modi's Election 2019 clarion call, extends support to his 'Vote Kar' campaign

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has initiated a Twitter campaign yet again and reached out prominent personalities from a wide spectrum of society with a series of tweets, urging them to help bring more people out to vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections. Following the 'Vote for India' campaign that was executed last week, the country chief on Sunday, March 24, introduced the 'Vote Kar' initiative asking several celebrities from the sports and entertainment industry to create voter awareness. 

In one of the posts, he tagged 'Total Dhammal' actor Anil Kapoor along with his co-stars Madhuri Dixit and Ajay Devgn, asking them to join the initiative and influence the Indian voters. Drawing reference to their film's title, PM Modi wrote, "Dear @AnilKapoor, @ajaydevgn & @MadhuriDixit, After the box office, it is time to create Total Dhamaal at the polling booths. Your support to the #VoteKar movement will augur well for India’s democracy. Let us ensure high voter turnout!"

Following the same, the evergreen actor responded to the country chief's appeal and pointed out how a single vote can make a difference. He also highlighted how it is the duty and right of the citizens to exercise their franchise to strengthen democracy.

Replying to PM Modi's post, Anil Kapoor wrote, "One vote can make all the difference. As citizens of this great nation, it is our duty & right to vote. So pls make it a point to vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for a better, brighter & stronger India! #VoteKar"

This comes barely weeks ahead of the first phase of the Lok Sabha election, scheduled on April 11. The Election Commission announced the dates of General Elections 2019. The nation will go into polls in seven phases beginning from April 11 till May 19. The counting of votes for all the states is scheduled to take place on May 23.
