P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar another must-watch from the underrated actor?

Jimmy Sheirgill is one of the most underrated actors in the industry. Many of his films did not work well at the box-office, but he always grabbed the attention of the audience as well as critics. In an interview with a leading daily, Sheirgill was asked how it felt to be called an underrated actor. Replying to the question, he said he takes it as a compliment. Apart from his popular work in Munna Bhai series, Tanu weds Manu series and Happy Bhaag Jaegi among others, here is the list of his other ventures that prove his versatility.

Bullet Raja 

In Tigmanshu Dhulia's 2013 film Bullet Raja, Jimmy played a supporting character. This Saif Ali Khan starrer also features Sonakshi Sinha in the lead. The film did average business at the box-office but the audience reportedly loved the performance of Jimmy Sheirgill in the film as Rudra Tripathi. His effortless acting skill was applauded by critics as well.

Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Series 

Again the 48-year-old actor pulled off a complex character with ease. The franchise has released three films in 2011, 2013, and 2018 respectively. In all three parts, he robbed the hearts of the audience by delivering consistent performance. The last release in 2018 did not work well at the box-office, but Sheirgill's performance was appreciated by the fans of the franchise.

Special 26

After A Wednesday, director-actor duo, Neeraj Pandey and Jimmy Sheirgill collaborated for the Akshay Kumar starrer Special 26. The climax of the film explored the character of the actor and raised the eyebrows of the audience. The audience was impressed with his apparent ease of portraying the character of a cop. The film also features Anupam Kher and Manoj Bajpayee in pivotal role among others.

Fugly

Fugly released in 2014 was a story of four young friends who were trapped in the plans of a corrupt cop. The character of a Haryanvi corrupt cop was imitated by Jimmy. How the actor took up the mannerisms and accent of his character received a lot of admiration. He grabbed the limelight even with the role of an antagonist in the film.

Yahaan

Looking back at his filmography, Yahaan is one of his must-watch films. The 2005 release also starred Manisha Lambaa in the lead. In Soojit Sircar directorial film Mohabbatein actor essayed the role of an army officer. The war romance-drama was appreciated by critics for the performance and the chemistry of Jimmy and Manisha. Though the film was a debacle at the box office, the storyline was loved by the masses.

Upcoming Project P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar

On the work front, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi actor is gearing up for his upcoming movie P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar releasing on October 15, 2019. P Se Pyaar F Se Faraar is a crime romance-drama, set in the city Mathura. The film is bankrolled by OK Movies along with PVR Pictures. The plot of the film revolves around inter-caste marriages.
