After much uproar and increasing controversies, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum-opus ‘Padmaavat’ will hit the screens on Thursday.
Ahead of the release, Deepika Padukone, who plays the role of Padmavati in the film highlighted that the film has spoken for itself, against all the odds it faced since its inception. Deepika was donning a pink silk saree, and gold earrings and necklace.
While addressing the media on the sidelines of an event, Deepika said,
"I think there is a time for everything. The film has spoken for itself like you have seen the reactions to the film. It has been absolutely phenomenal. That is in a way the best response we can give, through the work that we do"
Speaking about the emotions she is undergoing a night before the release, the actor said,
"I am extremely overwhelmed and emotional. This film has been through so much. On behalf of the entire film, I want to thank all of you for being so supportive of everything that we have done and everything that we have been through. Now it is time for us to celebrate and see the film do its wonders at the box-office."
While speaking about the Box Office number being anticipated, the 32-year-old actor said, "I am not someone who has ever been excited about the Box Office numbers. But I have to say, this time, I am; because I think it's going to be earth-shattering."
