Panipat posters: Arjun, Kriti or Sanjay- Whose look is your favourite?

Panipat is an upcoming historical period drama that is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. Three different posters for the movie have now been shared by the cast.

The upcoming historic period drama, Panipat, is set to release on December 6, 2019. The movie will be based on the historical Third Battle of Panipat, where the Maratha armies fought a brutal battle against the armies of the Afghani King, Ahmad Shah Abdali. The Official posters for the film have now been shared by the actors and the filmmakers on their official social media pages.

The first poster for the film features actor Kriti Sanon in her role as Parvati Bai. Parvati Bai was the wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, the military leader of the Marathas during the Third Battle of Panipat. The caption for the poster that features her states that a true queen needs no crown, implying the strength that Parvati Bai possessed which was essential to the Maratha armies and their leader. 

The next poster for the film features Arjun Kapoor in the attire of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, the Commander-in-chief or Sardar Senapati of the Maratha armies during the Third Battle of Panipat. His leadership and determination to defeat the enemy even when the odds were overwhelmingly against him, is one of the most celebrated and remembered moments from Indian History. The caption for the poster describes him as a man who stood for what he believed in, even if he stood alone.

The third and final poster that was shared for the movie depicts Sanjay Dutt in the role of Ahmad Shah Abdali, the King of the Afghan forces and the founder of the Durrani Empire. He fought Sadashiv Rao Bhau's Maratha armies in the Third Battle of Panipat to solidify his dominion on that territory. The caption for the poster states that death stikes wherever his shadow falls.
