Her stint as a manager

In an interview before her debut movie was released, Parineeti discussed how she first became a manager for Yash Raj Films and why she later decided to pursue acting as a career. Parineeti was first introduced to the YRF by her cousin Priyanka Chopra. Priyanka helped her meet the head of public relations for YRF and soon Parineeti landed an internship in the production company. Parineeti found her job to be perfect and did not initially plan to shift to acting.

How she decided to become an actor

How Parineeti decided to become an actor was also discussed by her in the interview. Parineeti became enamoured by acting during the promotion for the movie Band Baaja Baaraat. Being closely associated with the actors and creators of the film helped her realize that acting was her true calling. After that, she decided to leave her job in the PR department of YRF and join acting classes. She told this to the director of Band Baaja Baaraat, Maneesh Sharma, who she had befriended during the production of the film.

Maneesh, in turn, recommended Parineeti to go and meet the casting director. Parineeti did so and when she met the casting director, she asked Parineeti to act in front of a camera. This audition was taped and on Parineeti's last day as the PR manager for YRF, Maneesh Sharma called her and told her that he wanted to sign her up for a three-movie deal. That is when Parineeti was told by Maneesh that he had already considered her for a role in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. Maneesh Sharma also showed Parineeti's acting tapes to Aditya Chopra, who was then persuaded to sign her up.

Parineeti made her debut as an actor in 2011's romantic comedy movie, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. Since then, she has worked in 12 Bollywood movies, with each movie having varying success at the box office. She is now set to feature in many upcoming movies, including Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Bhuj: The Pride of India and The Girl on the Train. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was set to release on March of this year, however, it has still not been released and there is no confirmed news on when the movie will finally be released in theatres.
