Parineeti Chopra who is currently busy shooting for the official Hindi remake of Hollywood thriller "The Girl On The Train", took to her Twitter handle and reacted to a news headline that said that 'Domino's Pizza chain is looking for a taste-tester for its garlic bread'. Chopra instantly replied saying if she could apply. And guess how much the pay is? It is 30 Australian dollars an hour! Parineeti and her love for Pizza is known to all. In one of the interviews, the actress said that 'Pizza' is her soul food and "A classic Margherita does it for me… add some extra cheese on it and I’ll be the happiest person on earth," as quoted by the leading newspaper.
She also replied to Reliance Entertainment Group CEO Shibasish Sarkar who called Chopra 'The Girl in the Pizza Chain' and revealed that it has been over six months that she had a proper pizza. Take a look -
When Parineeti Chopra was asked about one dish that should be on the menu when she is on a date, she quickly said - "Pizza" because according to her, it's a mood lifter. "If you ask me what I would want for my last meal on earth, it’ll be pizza. For me, a pizza is an all-encompassing meal. Bread and cheese are two of my favouritest things. I can talk about pizza for the rest of my life!," she told the leading website. During her weight loss journey, Parineeti also revealed that she never thought she would be able to give up pizza but in the end, she did.
The actor will play an alcoholic divorcee, who becomes involved in a missing person's investigation. The role was originally played by Emily Blunt, who received critical acclaim for her performance in the 2016 film. Parineeti said the viewers will see her in a different avatar with this film. "I want to do roles that audiences haven't seen me in before and ones that require a lot of prep and homework, which is why 'The Girl On The Train' really worked for me. The character is an alcoholic and a victim of abuse, and I haven't explored anything like her on screen before," she said in a statement.
The film is based on Paula Hawkins' 2015 bestseller, will be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The director said he is looking forward to working with Parineeti. "The character is edgy, dark, and gritty along with being extremely emotional. So it is great to team up with someone like Parineeti, who is an extremely sincere actor and a powerful performer," Dasgupta said. The movie is produced by Reliance Entertainment.
"'The Girl On The Train' is one of the best psychological thrillers and also a heartwarming story of the female protagonist and her discovery of life. We have procured the rights of the book and the film, and will be adapting it from an Indian story telling perspective. Amblin will be a partner in this film," Shibasish Sarkar, Group CEO Reliance Entertainment, added. The Hollywood film was backed by Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks Pictures. Spielberg is Amblin Entertainment co-founder.
