The Supreme Court on Monday declined to pass an order on a plea seeking a stay on the release of 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic as the Central Board of Film Certification is yet to certify the film.

The biopic is all set to release on April 11, which is also the first day of voting for the Lok Sabha elections.

The bench that comprises of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Sanjeev Khanna said that they will hear the matter on Tuesday and will pass an order if the petitioner Congress leader Aman Panwar establishes reasons for his objection to the film.

Directed by Omung Kumar, the biopic on India's incumbent Prime Minister features Boman Irani and Vivek Oberoi in pivotal roles. It is expected to release on April 12, a date which coincides with the start of the voting process.
