‘PM Narendra Modi’ biopic is adding some interesting names to its cast, having a brilliant mix of some veteran actors and young faces. The latest to join the team is Boman Irani, who’ll be playing the role of business tycoon Ratan Tata in the film.
On joining the cast and the role he has selected for, Boman in a recent interview said that he is often flooded with comments on social media about him resembling Ratan Tata. The actor is also a Parsi like Tata.
The ‘Munnabhai’ star added that he has always been willing and happy to do the role if any day such an offer would come his way. That’s the reason he gave a thumbs up immediately when the lead actor Vivek Oberoi, director Omung Kumar and Sandip Ssingh approached him.
Boman revealed that his shooting for the part has been completed and that ‘it went well.’
The ‘Housefull’ star also lavished praises on Vivek for the hard work he had put in for the role of the Prime Minister and called it a ‘pleasure’ to see him ‘maturing into an artist’ and doing his homework well.
The news of Boman being signed for the movie had surfaced a few days ago. At that time, he had said, "It's an honour to be chosen to be a part of such a landmark film. It's a strong team comprising of Sandip Ssingh, Omung Kumar and Vivek Anand Oberoi and I am looking forward to working with them. This has been a great start to my New Year, and I am looking forward to this remarkable journey."
Barkha Bisht Sengupta as PM's wife, Zarina Wahab as his mother, Manoj Joshi as BJP President Amit Shah and Prashant Narayanan are among the others confirmed for the movie.
