"Stones and paper balls were pelted at Singer Shaan during a concert in Guwahati's Sarusajai stadium yesterday after he sang a Bengali song. 'Please respect the performer' Shaan told the crowd," ANI reported post which Shaan took to his social media handle to clear the air. "Just for the records ...loved my Assam Tour!! Saw the most fascinating sights...made new friends..had huge turnouts at every concert.. Over one unfortunate incident it would be VeryWrong to Tarnish this Beautifull State!!! Whatever happened was in the heat of the moment 🙏," tweeted the 46-year-old on October 30.

However, putting an end to the speculations, the singer a day later shared yet another tweet circling the incident. "Complete lies!!! One Paper ticket folded up was thrown on stage by One Person after vigorously gestering and shouting to stop singing.. That’s all ... please stop these wild speculations and lies," he said.

For the unintiated ones, Shaan was present for a gig in Assam where he broke into a Bengali track during his time on the stage. This allegedly did not go well with the crowd present there who then started throwing stones at the singer. According to reports, the singer continued with his performance post the incident. As the situation escalated, Shaan urged his fans to not tarnish the image of the state and later clarified by taking to his official handle.
