Prassthanam movie: First weekend box office collection update

Sanjay Dutt starrer Prassthanam was released on Friday, September 20, 2019. Prassthanam collected little under three crores. Read to know more about the film.

Sanjay Dutt starrer Prassthanam was released on Friday, September 20, 2019. Along with Prassthanam, two other movies Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass and The Zoya Factor also hit the screens on the same day. However, it seems that they couldn't manage to impress the audience as the box office collections of all the three movies were reportedly low and showed no growth over the weekend.

Prassthanam first weekend box office collection

According to Box Office India's statistics, Prassthanam collected around Rs. 80,00,000 on the first day. The second day recorded earnings of Rs. 90,00,000. On the third day, i.e. Sunday, it managed to raise its collections to around Rs. 1,25,00,000. The net first weekend Prassthanam box office collection stands to Rs. 2,95,00,000. The film collected little under three crores which is less than that of films like Policegiri, Zilla Ghaziabad and Bhhomi. These are recent Sanjay Dutt starrer movies in the same genre. Prassthanam showed a little growth on Sunday, yet the figure is reportedly considered to be low.

About the movie Prassthanam

Prassthanam is helmed by Deva Katta and is produced by Abhijit Chawathe. The co-producer of the film is Maanayata Dutt, who also happens to be the wife of Sanjay Dutt. Prassthanam is a multi-starrer movie. The cast also includes Jackie Shroff, Ali Fazal, Manisha Koirala, Chunky Pandey, Amrya Dastur and Satyajeet Dubey in primary roles. The plot of the movie revolves around the life of a rural politician who marries a widow with kids. The politician puts more faith in his stepson for political matters and upsets his own sun.
