Priyanka Chopra lost 10 big films for saying no to sexual harassment, says her mother Madhu Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is one of the most popular faces in the Bollywood Industry and has many good films to her name. Before acting in the films, she was former Miss India. She is known for her contribution to the Indian Cinema, and her names are also added to the few Bollywood stars, who crossed over to Bollywood. She is also recognized for her work in the TV series 'Quantico' which is being liked by people all around and is lauded by the Industry. As the world came to know about the deeds of American film producer Harvey Weinstein, it raised a harrowing question that how safe the film industry is. And, needless to say, the revelation on Weinstein led us to the next obvious question, that is there Harvey Weinstein (s) in Bollywood too?

Priyanka Chopra is one actor who has always been very vocal about objectification and sexual harassment of women. Recently, while speaking on the issue, she made a sensational claim that Harvey Weinstein is not just a one-off case and that sexual harassment is rampant in both Bollywood and Hollywood. Now, Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu Chopra told a media house that Priyanka lost on big projects after she refused to put up with harassment.

Every now and then in the country, people have come forward to share such similar stories of sexual harassment or injustices of any case. 

The doctor-turned producer reportedly said that a designer once told Priyanka that the director's brief was to dress her in itsy-bitsy clothes and that the director was reportedly overheard saying what is the point of having a Miss World in front of the camera if he cannot show her as her beautiful self? According to reports, the next thing that Priyanka Chopra did was refused to be a part of the film.

Chopra added that the Quantico star had to pay a huge price for walking out of the project as it was being helmed by a reputed director and Priyanka lost 10 films because of her decision. But, she firmly stood her ground and decided to drop it. 

Dr. Madhu Chopra also urged newcomers to never compromise on values under pressure as losing out on a project isn't the end of one's life.
