Priyanka Chopra on sharing a sibling bond with Ranveer Singh

Priyanka Chopra, the Desi Girl, has taken the brother-sister bond to heart after playing the role of Ranveer Singh's sister in Dil Dhadakne Do who also has Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. Their chemistry in the movie as siblings was a treat to watch and was also loved by their audiences.

As per reports, when asked about their on-screen bonding, Priyanka said that she had played Ranveer's girlfriend in Gunday, a sister in Dil Dhadakne Do(DDD), and a wife in Bajirao Mastani. She also told the interviewer that she has a sibling bond with Ranveer in real life too. In DDD, Priyanka played the role of Ayesha Mehra-Sangha, and Ranveer has played her younger brother named Kabir Mehra. The movie is a family drama that revolved around a brother-sister relationship. 

Reports also reveal that Priyanka calls Ranveer 'Ranno' and that they are close friends. On Women's Day, Priyanka surprised Ranveer by adding him on her Instagram Live wherein she asked him about his opinion of Women’s Day celebrations. Ranveer was shooting for Gully Boy at that time and was on his way to the set. Ranveer reportedly in an interview said that Priyanka still believes that he is a kid and there is still an innocent child in him who does not believe that he is a superstar.

Both of them have a knack for getting into their respective roles and play them so convincingly that their partnership as siblings and as husband-wife were both equally loved by the movie-goers. Their performance in Bajirao Mastani was equally praised to their performance in Dil Dhdakne Do.

On the career front

Priyanka, after several releases in Hollywood, will be next seen in the movie titled The Sky Is Pink. She will also star in Cowboy Ninja Viking. Ranveer, on the other hand, will be seen in the Kapil Dev's biopic '83 and also Sooryavanshi.
