'Proud to show off today that my Simmba is marrying my Meenamma': Rohit Shetty gets emotional as 'adventurous journey' with Ranveer Singh ends

Five months exactly and the shoot of Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ has finally been wrapped. The announcement was made by the director himself on Instagram, but it was not just a simple message informing about the shoot completion. The filmmaker got extremely emotional talking about his lead actor Ranveer Singh.

Rohit called the journey of the movie ‘adventurous’ and that’s why he was ‘filled with mixed emotions’ about the end of the shoot. He added that his experience with his actor was ‘full of fun, laughter and unending memories.’ Rohit said it was ‘wonderful’ knowing Ranveer as a person and lauded him for being ‘honest, hardworking and so passionate about his craft.’ The ‘Golmaal’ director said no one could’ve played ‘Simmba’ better than him and only he could make it, what his team says, Rohit’s ‘best film so far.’ The journey of the movie has changed Rohit’s opinion of Ranveer from a ‘young talented star’ to a ‘kid brother for life.’

The best words of the message were reserved for the end as Rohit wished the 'Padmaavat' actor for his ‘new, beautiful journey with someone equally as charming and wonderful as him', referring to marriage with his ‘Chennai Express’ actor Deepika Padukone. Rohit was proud to ‘show off’ that his Meenamma, her character from the SRK-starrer, is marrying his ‘Simmba’ and wished them luck for ‘a blissfully beautiful future together.’
