New York based Magazine 'The Cut' has issued an apology and has taken down the article on Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas after it received widespread criticism for portraying the actress in poor light. The article headlined "Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s Love for Real?" started by calling Chopra a 'scam artist'. According to the article, 'the two are power hungry and will do anything to mint money and popularity'. This, of course, did not went down well with many and the flak pushed the publication to issue the following 'apology note':
Last night, the Cut published a post about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra’s relationship that shouldn’t have gone up. We’ve received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger. We want you to know that we hear you and we’re sorry. The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologize to our readers and to Priyanka and Nick.
However, the netizens aren't buying any of it.
Earlier in the day, Priyanka Chopra reacted to the racist, sexist article and said " I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. These kind of random things can’t disturb it”
Earlier, Priyanka's sister in law Sophie Turner, as well as Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, slammed 'The Cut' for calling Priyanka 'A modern-day scam artist'. Taking to the Twitter, the two wrote how it was utterly 'sexist, racist' and deeply problematic.
