Following a successful surgery, Bollywood filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is back home to celebrate son Hrithik Roshan's birthday. The veteran director who is currently recovering was seen posing for a family picture standing on his own feet along with his wife, son, daughter and grandson.
Hrithik Roshan on Tuesday revealed that his father, veteran director Rakesh Roshan, is suffering from early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat, a type of cancer, and is going for a surgery. He shared a picture with his father which seems to be clicked post workout and captioned it saying, "Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early-stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family, we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad."

Ever since Hrithik Roshan announced on social media that his father Rakesh Roshan was afflicted with throat cancer, the family's well-wishers and friends have been trying to glean more information on Rakesh Roshan's shocking health bulletin.
However, on Wednesday, the veteran Bollywood actor was reported to have undergone successful surgery and was reportedly doing fine. He was expected to be back home on Friday or Saturday.
On the professional front, the father-son duo is set to work together on the next instalment of their popular superhero franchise 'Krrish'. On the occasion of Hrithik's birthday last year, the filmmaker had announced that 'Krrish 4' would be hitting the theatres on Christmas 2020. Roshan Sr had produced Hrithik's last film 'Kaabil', which was a success at the box office.
