It's Raksha Bandhan, the day which celebrates the bonds of brothers and sisters. The Indian festival requires sisters tying a holy thread around their brother's arms praying for their long life, and in return, brothers promise to protect them and pamper them with gifts. While the entire country is celebrating, looks like Bollywood celebrities are no exception.

Recently Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has put out an adorable throwback picture with sister Ritika Bhavnani on Instagram to mark the day.  He shared a picture from his childhood where li'l Ranveer can be seen standing beside Ritika donning traditional attires. Sharing the heartwarming picture on Instagram, he addressed his 'didi' as his bestie, protector, and angel.

Also, as the day August 15 is also India's Independence day, Ranveer shared a picture of a flying flag in a consecutive post extending greetings for the same. In the post, he declared himself as a proud Indian.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports-drama '83' which chronicles India's historic win World Cup win at the Lord's stadium in1983. The Men in Blue defeated West Indies in the final to clinch their first-ever World Cup trophy in 1983 under the captainship of Kapil Dev.

In the upcoming venture, he will be seen essaying the role of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev while his wife actress Deepika Padukone will take up the role of his wife Romi Bhatia. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and is scheduled to release in 2020.
