Actor Rana Daggubati has finally started shooting for the upcoming Bollywood laugh riot 'Housefull 4'.

Actor Rana Daggubati has finally started shooting for the upcoming Bollywood laugh riot 'Housefull 4'. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Twitter, the actor shared the news to his fans and wrote 'Heading to the sets of Housefull 4. Shooting in Mumbai after a very long time'

Daggubati was not part of the cast earlier, but after allegations against Nana Patekar surfaced and he decided to step out, Rana was called in to fill up his spot. The 67-year-old actor's son Malhar Nana Patekar had previously announced the veteran actor's exit from the film.

Speaking to ANI, he said " Nana Saheb thought of the convenience of everybody as he wishes the best for the producer and the crew and hence felt that stepping out of the project would be an appropraite thing to do at this point" 

Director Sajid Khan who was directing the film earlier had to step down too following allegations of sexual harassment by three women namely actor Rachel White, assistant director Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay. 

Sajid was replaced by Farhan Samji, who is now directing the fourth instalment of the 'Housefull' franchise. He also helmed the third part of the film. The comedy film features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde in pivotal roles. Further, it also stars Chunky Panday, Johnny Lever and Boman Irani.

Based on the theme of reincarnation, the fourth film of 'Housefull' series is slated to hit the big theatres on Diwali 2019. 

Rana Daggubati is also prepping for another film, which is essentially a biopic on Telugu actor-turned politician Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), wherein he will be seen portraying the role of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He had also met Naidu as a part of preparations of the film.
