Ranbir Kapoor has proven himself to be one of the most versatile actors the Hindi film industry has. The 36-year-old actor made his debut with Saawariya back in 2007. In the 12 years that he has been acting in Bollywood, Ranbir has delivered some blockbusters and also some flops at the box office. Ranbir has given some powerful performances which have been appreciated by the audience and critics alike. Here's a list of some of his iconic performances.

Ranbir's versatile choices makes him one of the most successful actors in Bollywood

Rockstar (2011)

Rockstar marks Ranbir's best performance to date. The actor played a struggling musician on the path to success and eventual destruction. He played the layers of his character Jordan with utmost commitment and effort. Ranbir received Filmfare award for best actor in 2012 for his impeccable performance. Rockstar earned ₹ 108 crores at the box office. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film was a critical and commercial success.

Barfi (2012)

In Barfi, Ranbir plays a hearing impaired and mute character. The film was heavily appreciated by the people and Ranbir after Barfi has been considered to be one of the best actors the industry has. Barfi brought another Filmfare Best Actor award and also went on to get the Best Film award at Filmfare. Priyanka Chopra who portrayed a person with autism in the film also received rave reviews for her performance.

Tamasha (2015)

Tamasha was the reunion of director Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor after Rockstar. After creating musical magic with a tragedic twist in Rockstar, the actor-director duo treated the audience with a light-hearted coming of age story. The film was received with a mixed response from the critics and the audience but unanimous praise for Ranbir's performance. It had an average run at the box office of 67 crores in India and earned ₹ 100 crores at the global box office.

Sanju (2018)

Ranbir gave a string of flops like Roy, Bombay Velvet and Besharam. The actor wanted to experiment with the films he is devoting his time to and ended up making a few bad decisions. But 2018's Sanju brought him the commercial success he needed. The film was a blockbuster hit at the box office and Ranbir's transformation into Sanjay Dutt was applauded by the audience members. Ranbir also won the Filmfare Best Actor award for the film. Sanju earned ₹ 300+ crores at the box office.
