Ranveer Singh extends birthday greetings to Cricket legend Kapil Dev

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh extended birthday greetings to veteran Indian cricketer Kapil Dev as he turns 60 years old on Sunday, January 6. The actor look to Instagram and penned a heartfelt message of the Cricket legend.

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh extended birthday greetings to veteran Indian cricketer Kapil Dev as he turns 60 years old on Sunday, January 6. The actor look to Instagram and penned a heartfelt message of the Cricket legend.  He shared a throwback picture from the time when India won World Cup under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. In the photograph, Kapil Dev can be seen holding the trophy high following India's massive victory. Ranveer captioned the post saying, "Happy Birthday, Legend! 🙌🏽 #KapilDev  @83thefilm  @kabirkhankk"

Ranveer Singh's affinity for cricket is not a secret. The actor on several occasions has expressed his love for the game. However, that's not the only connection he has with Kapil Dev as he is going to play the legengry cricketer on-screen in his upcoming venture '83'. 

Ranveer Singh recently made headlines for his appearance at London's Lord's stadium as the actor started his prep for his upcoming film '83' to be directed by Kabir Khan. The film that is based on India's historical 1983 Cricket World Cup Win against England in the Lord's stadium, will see Ranveer play the role of the then Indian Cricket Captain Kapil Dev. Moreover, media reports suggests that the 'Padmavat' actor will be coached by none other than the man himself - the Haryana Hurricane Kapil Dev. 

The actor who had started gearing up for the role, went all the way up to the Loads to get a feel of the same. In some of the pictures shared by the actor in August last year, he was seen posing with director Kabir Khan and Master Blastar Sachin Tendulkar.
