Looks like Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh, who is all set to take up the role of a street rapper in his upcoming film 'Gully Boy' has got along with the Indian rappers really well while working on his upcoming project. The actor on Wednesday, January 16, shared a picture with the original 'Gully Boy' Naved Shaikh aka rapper Naezy on Instagram confirming their strong bonds.
In the latest picture shared by Ranveer, he can be seen raising the coolness quotient up by a notch, as he carries his swag look in casuals. He can be seen sporting an olive hoddie and joggers, with he paired up with a cool headband and goggles. Naezy looked dapper as he chose to dress in all black.

This is not the first time, Ranveer shared a picture with the rapper, earlier on January 11, the actor shared the monochrome picture on Instagram where he can be seen giving a swag pose with the 'Hip-hop star'. He captioned the post saying, "AANE DE, AANE DE, AANE DE 💀🎤 @naezythebaa #gullyboy #og#apnatimeaayega"

Previously, during the trailer launch of the film, director Zoya Akhtar revealed that she collaborated with Naezy and rapper Divine to add an original essence of the film. The filmmaker further clarified that the film is not based on any rapper and is completely fictional. However, she mentioned that she came up with the idea of making the film after being inspired by their music.
Meanwhile, Ranveer seems to have aced the rapping skills, while prepping for his role in the film. The actor was heard rapping throughout the trailer and the teaser of the film. In fact, he also performed in front of a live audience during the trailer launch.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'Gully Boy' features Ranveer and Alia Bhatt in the pivotal roles. It tells the story of an aspiring rapper who comes from a humble beginning and has to struggle his way up to the heights of fame. The project will be produced by co-produced by Zoya Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment productions. The film is all set to hit the big screens on Valentine's Day, February 14.
