Ranveer Singh To Take Cricket Training From Kapil Dev For '83'

Ranveer Singh recently made headlines for his appearance at London's Lord's stadium as the actor started his prep for his upcoming film '83' to be directed by Kabir Khan. The film that is based on India's historical 1983 Cricket World Cup Win against England in the Lord's stadium, will see Ranveer play the role of the then Indian Cricket Captain Kapil Dev. The 'Padmavat' actor will reportedly be coached by none other than the man himself - the Haryana Hurricane Kapil Dev. 

 

According to reports, Kapil Dev will be flying down to Mumbai for a week to train Ranveer Singh not just the nitty-gritty's of Cricket but also his mannerisms and body language. Kapil Dev will also be training Ranveer to get his outward swing right. Ranveer is expected to train for one month and the film will reportedly go on floors by the month of December. According to a daily publication, the film's co-producer Vishnu Induri informed that Ranveer will start his preparations from the month of November.

However, the rest of the cast is yet to be decided. It is being reported that each actor will be getting trained under the respective cricketers. Ranveer Singh was recently spotted at Lord's Stadium, London, along with director Kabir Khan and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Ranveer Singh who was last seen in the much controversial magnum opus drama 'Padmaavat' by Sanjay Leela Bhansali that also starred his alleged ladylove Deepika Padukone. Ranveer has already wrapped up Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy' co-starring Alia Bhatt. Apart from that Ranveer will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba' co-starring Sara Ali Khan.  Ranveer will also be working under Karan Johar's direction 'Takht' that will see him as a part of an ensemble cast that includes, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor.

 Ranveer Singh has also been making headlines for the rumours surrounding his marriage to his alleged ladylove Deepika Padukone. As per latest reports, the 'Ram-Leela' couple is all set to tie the knot at Lake Como, Italy this November. The ceremony is reportedly a close-knit affair with merely 30 people.
