REVEALED: This Actor Will Play The Main Villain In 'Sooryavanshi' Opposite Akshay Kumar

  • Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to star in Rohit Shetty's cop drama 'Sooryavanshi' and fans have been buzzing about the same ever since the film was announced.
  • Now, makers have put out another major update about the upcoming venture and said that 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela' actor Abhimanyu Singh will be joining the cast of the film.

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is all set to star in Rohit Shetty's cop drama 'Sooryavanshi' and fans have been buzzing about the same ever since the film was announced. Now, makers have put out another major update about the upcoming venture and said that 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela' actor Abhimanyu Singh will be joining the cast of the film.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle and made the announcement. He revealed that Abhimanyu will be featured as the main villain in the upcoming venture. Sharing a picture of the actor in a recent post, Adarsh wrote, "Abhimanyu Singh to play the baddie in #Sooryavanshi... Will play the main antagonist opposite Akshay Kumar... Directed by Rohit Shetty."

As per media reports, the character of Abhimanyu in the film is described as 'deadly and unpredictable'. Although not much about the plot of the film is revealed yet, director Rohit Shetty revealed that Akshay, named Sooryavanshi will be part of the anti-terrorism squad of the Ghost department of the police Police Force. As the film went on floors earlier this month, Shetty shared a still from the same and wrote, "No Uniforms... No Marked Cars... ANTI TERRORISM SQUAD - The GHOST department of our Police Force... SOORYAVANSHI @akshaykumar"

The above-mentioned information suggests that Abhimanyu will ace the role of a terrorist in the upcoming venture, however, makers are yet to confirm the same. 

Meanwhile, 'Sooryavanshi' also stars Katrina Kaif as the female lead. They welcomed the Bollywood diva in the cop universe last month. 

The film is Shetty's fourth cop drama after 'Singham', 'Singham Returns' and 'Simmba' all three of them are massive hits.
